On Monday, August 12, the “Evidentiary” hearing for the lawsuit filed by the “City of Keene” against six individuals collectively dubbed “Robin Hood” went down at “Superior” court in Keene. As the title of this post indicates, it was the first of what may be three or four days in legaland. The next date, which won’t happen in the next few weeks due to a full docket, is still to be determined.
Those of us named as “Robin Hood” were told be be present at 9am. We didn’t exit legaland until 4pm.
The “City of Keene” called parking enforcement officer (PEO) Linda “Lynn” Desruisseaux, counselor Mary Kimmel (who, while testifying, was getting paid 225FRNs/hour from the “City of Keene”), and former PEO Alan Givetz (who only got through part of his testimony – that which related to me, Pete Eyre). I then testified (as I had informed those present that the next day I was to leave the ‘shire for an extended period of time per the Police Accountability Tour).
When wrapping-up for the day both myself and John Meyer, who is representing the five other co-defendants, motioned to have my name removed from the injunction as there was no factual evidence to support my inclusion in the frivolous suit. Charles Bauer – the Concord-based lawyer hired by the “City of Keene”, was told he had 10days to respond.

Edward Burke says that I owe the “City of Keene” 15FNRs or else.
This, despite the fact that no victim could be pointed to by Keene police employee Lesley Collier, who back in March left a ransom note on my Tahoe.
Nor could Collier point to any property damage that I had caused or even a single complainant.
To be clear, the ransom Burke says I owe is demanded simply because I disobeyed a decree that I never signed, which was written by some strangers I never met.

Keene Cop Block invited Ian Freeman, a six -year inhabitant of Keene, NH, to share a bit about the ongoing harassment he’s faced from so-claimed “authorities” for his efforts to peacefully erode their claimed legitimacy.
In this video Freeman, host of the nationally syndicated Free Talk Live and blogger at FreeKeene.com and ShireSociety.com, among much else, touches on the latest iteration of threat levied at him before speaking candidly about his motivations and the real impact had as the peaceful community emerges.
Instead of cowering, Freeman, knowing full-well that he’s not harmed anyone, has opted for transparency. His actions have undoubtedly embolden others – both in and outside of the ‘shire – to see the gun in the room, and speak out as well.

“obfuscation, stonewalling, say-nothing, do-nothing, run-away!” – words ‘shire-based videographer Dave Ridley used to describe the actions of Ken Meola, Keene Police Department employee, when he’s questioned.
My own experience has been the same. The handful of times I’ve been in Meola’s presence and have attempted a conversation with him, he’s remained mute.
Perhaps I should be surprised, seeing as the mission Meola claims to uphold lists “courtesy” as a main component, but I’m aware of the perverse incentives in the monopolistic, hierarchical structure in which he works.
Is Meola’s statement – that the recently-acquired Bearcat (Ballistic Engineered Armored Response Counter Attack Truck) will not be modified – to be believed? Meaning, that no extra armaments will be added to the 19,000-lb vehicle?
I don’t think any sane person would put-forth that this militarized vehicle needed in quaint Keene, and therefore, nor would any additional accessories (used to kill those who don’t obey).
But recall, Meola and some of his colleagues justified the acquisition of the vehicle because it was “free” (it’s not free obviously, the DHS, through those who pay their annual ransom to the larger, federal government, covered the cost of the 286,000FRN piece of hardware to Keene PD and 299 other towns).
Is it likely that Meola and his co-conspirators would turn-down with a battering-ram arm used to inject gas, or a turret-mounted gun? If we who value peace, accountability, and consensual interactions stay focused on the actions of those who claim a “legitimate” right to initiate force the chances are definitely less-likely…

Many folks who reside in Keene are aware of the petty harassment doled out by Fred Parsells.
A former Keene police employee, Parsells now claims a “legitimate” right to be a nosy bother to his neighbors due to his occupation as a code enforcer.
Fortunately a lot of thinking individuals have concluded that when the initiation of force or its threat is utilized, whether “officially” sanctioned or not, the person initiating is in the wrong.
There’s much I love about Keene. Yet I could do without the countless iterations of force threatened or initiated by Fred Parsells.
